Advanced exercisers will benefit from the physical demands of this challenging class while athletes will realize the benefits of improved performance in their sport(s) of choice. The instructor will use a variety of stretch and strength and pilates exercises to compliment the plyometrics circuits during rest intervals. This class will be a new challenge every week as different combinations of fitness exercises and equipment are used to make circuits and obstacle courses. |

Pilates focuses on developing core muscle groups with the purpose of improving posture and to help keep the body balanced; these are two critical areas in providing support for the spine. In addition, Pilates promotes an awareness of how you breathe during exercise and also how to maintain the alignment of your spine with the aim of strengthening the deep torso muscles. Stretching, strengthening and stabilization are incorporated into each of the exercises. Attention to detail is the main focus of the Pilates method here at Body Lines. When the mind is connected to the body then one can move with grace, balance and most efficiently without thinking about it. |
| |
Power Pilates will challenge your body in a whole new way! It takes controlled movements, combines it with the long, lean muscle building of a regular Pilates class and takes it to the next level. We will use Pilates balls, flex-bands and free weights in a series of exercises that limits rest periods between sets to develop a higher level of endurance. Each exercise engages and targets multiple muscle groups for a challenging and functional workout. The class will conclude with a stretch and cool down component that will lengthen and relieve your muscles of tension, leaving your feeling relaxed and invigorated. |
| |
Take your core to the next level with this exciting and challenging workout! This class gives you the opportunity to work with pilates equipment only utilized in private classes... until now. This class will used a variety of equipment such as the foam roller, balance cushions, stability balls, toning balls, bands, and the "popular" reformer and cadillac. |

Yogalates is the combination of both traditional Hatha Yoga postures and Pilates exercises that specifically address core strengthening. Yoga focuses on proper breathing technique while going through fluid movements coupled with holding seated, standing, prone and inverted poses. Pilates incorporates core work that aids in increasing muscle strengthening, balance, flexibility and co-ordination. These two disciplines compliment each other nicely and encourage long, lean and toned muscles. This class is a great addition to our schedule as it will not only challenge the body but also help to calm/distress the mind.
