Adult's 8 Week Dance Sessions:

All of our adult 8 week dance sessions start up again on the week of September 13th 2010.

Adult Acro Monday 8pm-9pm

Adult Ballet/Lyrical Level 1 Thursday 7pm-8pm

Adult Ballet/Lyrical Level 2 Thursday 8pm-9pm

Adult Pointe Thursday 9pm-9:30pm

Adult Jazz Saturday 11am-12pm (this is a drop in class and runs continuously)

Adult Modern/Lyrical Tuesday 8:30pm-9:30pm

Children's 8 Week and full term classes: Fall 2010/2011 Dance Season:

All of our childrens dance classes start up on the week of September 13th 2010.

Mini Acro ( 4yrs-6yrs) Tuesday 5:15pm-6pm

*This is a drop in class for dancers, cheerleaders and or gymnasts who are looking to develop strength and flexibility in addition to advancing their acrobatic skills.

** This class is for our performance and or competitve programs. You must audition upon registration.

Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop Classes
 

You can purchase a package of acro, ballet, jazz and hip-hop classes by selecting from the options available above. You will be directed to a secure online payment processing site, PAYPAL, in order to complete your purchase. Please note that all packages are in CAD and do not include GST. Refer to our rates summary sheet for additional package options.

 
Class Descriptions

Acro

Acro is a combination of the two disciplines dance and gymnastics. Each class focuses on strength, flexibility, skills and choreography across a variety of dance styles. With the use of specialized equipment, we will create fun and challenging circuits that will help our students develop skills in Acro. The safety of our classes and students is our primary focus at Body Lines Dance and Fitness. To facilitate this safe learning environment, all of our Acro instructors are certified through the National Coaching Certificate Program (N.C.C.P.) and therefore employ the safest spotting and training techniques.

Classes are offered in following age groups:

Advanced: Experienced students (1.5 hour classes)

Boys Tumble: 4 -7 years (45 minutes)

 

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms, and helps a young dancer achieve poise, posture, confidence, grace and co-ordination. Dancers learn important technique and musicality through inventive barre exercises and fun centre work. At Body Lines Dance and Fitness, each class also includes flexibility training and choreography. We believe that a proper foundation is the key to a long successful dance life.

 

Adult Jazz

Jazz is one of the original forms of dance that reflects the spirit and mood of contemporary society as seen in pop, rock, hip-hop, rhythm and blues.  Jazz classes improve technique, strength and flexibility while learning a diverse style of dance.  Each class includes a fun and challenging warm up, then skill development and a jazz combination.  This class is not only fun and exciting but a great cardio workout as well.
