| Class Descriptions |
Acro is a combination of the two disciplines dance and gymnastics. Each class focuses on strength, flexibility, skills and choreography across a variety of dance styles. With the use of specialized equipment, we will create fun and challenging circuits that will help our students develop skills in Acro. The safety of our classes and students is our primary focus at Body Lines Dance and Fitness. To facilitate this safe learning environment, all of our Acro instructors are certified through the National Coaching Certificate Program (N.C.C.P.) and therefore employ the safest spotting and training techniques.
Classes are offered in following age groups:
Acro Tots: 2 1/2 - 4 years old (30 minute classes) |
Acro Tots is a 30 minute introductory class that combines the basics of gymnastics with fun games and movement to music. Acro skills such as tables, front rolls, teddy bear stands and bridges will be introduced using a variety of equipment that is safe as well as fun. This class will develop strength, balance, flexibility and co-ordination while instilling a love of movement in every child!
Mini Acro: 4 - 6 years old (45 minute classes) |
Mini Acro is a 45 minute class that combines the basics of gymnastics with the basics of dance. Skills such as bridges, cartwheels and stands will be introduced in a safe environment using colorful equipment and circuits to add some fun. Your kids will also learn combinations in acro and dance to various types of music. Our focus is to develop strength, balance, flexibility and coordination, in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
Jr. Acro: 6 - 8 years old (1 hour classes) |
This one hour class is a great way to challenge your child by focusing on strength, balance, flexibility and co-ordination. Basic gymnastics skills will be introduced as well as the beginning stages of partner tricks! Jr. Acro is a great way for your child to learn how to work together with other children in order to successfully complete tricks with the help of their partners.
Intermediate Acro: 8 - 10 years old (1 hour classes)
Senior Acro: 10 - 12 years old (1 hour classes)
Teen Acro: 13 - 17 years (1 hour classes)
Adult Acro: 17+ (1 hour classes)
Advanced: Experienced students (1.5 hour classes)
Boys Tumble: 4 -7 years (45 minutes)

This is a one hour class targeted towards the individual who is looking to gain flexibility, strength and develop gymnastics skills. It is a class that requires experience in either acro or gymnastics. This class is perfect for competitive dancers, gymnasts and cheerleaders looking to further their development in their acro skills and tumbling. We also include circuit training and plyometrics to develop elevation in jumps and all-round stamina.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms, and helps a young dancer achieve poise, posture, confidence, grace and co-ordination. Dancers learn important technique and musicality through inventive barre exercises and fun centre work. At Body Lines Dance and Fitness, each class also includes flexibility training and choreography. We believe that a proper foundation is the key to a long successful dance life. |

Jazz is one of the original forms of dance that reflects the spirit and mood of contemporary society as seen in pop, rock, hip-hop, rhythm and blues. Jazz classes improve technique, strength and flexibility while learning a diverse style of dance. Each class includes a fun and challenging warm up, then skill development and a jazz combination. This class is not only fun and exciting but a great cardio workout as well. |
